It’s on! I have booked Sunday, June 10th from 1-4pm at Amazing Things in Framingham for the CD release party of my upcoming Both Sides Now album.

As of this date Brad Hatfield, Jim Gwin and Stan Strickland  are on board for the date. Marty Ballou, the bass player on my album, told me he rarely books that far in advance, but unfortunately had already booked another gig for that exact date and time. So I put a call in to another exceptional bassist who has worked with me on previous projects.

This is one of those deep down desires being met, folks – to perform with a topnotch band on an album of originals. Back in the 80s and 90s I was lead singer for a few top 40 bands – 2 duos and a 5 piece called ‘Cruise Control.’ One of the duos became a trio, adding my drummer brother Adam, and traveled to an all expenses paid gig at the Club Med in Ixtapa, Mexico for eleven days. That was mighty nice.

So – it’s not the Club Med but – SAVE THE DATE! It’s to be one fun and grand party. Amazing Things Arts Center is a fantastic community arts center that boasts not only wonderful acts and a fabulous art gallery – but a innovative and welcoming open mic every other Thursday with Dan Cloutier. He’s been at it for twelve years! Amazing Things is dedicated to bringing the arts into community life here and now.

Dan’s open mic is the first place I played years ago when my friend Cheryl Perreault, another stalwart host of community oriented arts events, suggested I join her there as I was looking to get out and perform again. Since then I’ve featured at the open mic and opened for shows there.

It feels only fitting that I give my CD release party there to celebrate the outward expression of this deep down desire.

So – SAVE THE DATE: Sunday, June 10th, 1-4pm!
